In-Classroom Training: Schools and teachers can choose a lesson format that is twice a week or once a week (8-16 weeks). This curriculum is designed around 20 min lessons.
Afterschool-Workshop: This option provides an afterschool format for students interested in Mindfulness. It is an 8 week course and each session is 1 hour. Lesson summaries are provided for parents so that they may support their students and participate at home.
One Session Overview: An overview offers teachers, staff, and adminstrators general introduction to the history, theory, research and practice of Mindfulness. The overview also describes MindHeartSpace programs and services.
Introduction to Mindfulness 101: This option offers an 8 week course, and each session 1 hour. This course will provide educators with a basic understanding and practice of Mindfulness.
Mindful Parenting 101: This course offers parents an 8 week course and each session 1 hour. As well at providing an introduction to the history, theory, research, and practice of Mindfulness, it also includes aspects of parenting mindfully.
Mindful Communication: This course combines Mindfulness practices with the principles of Non-violent Communication (NVC). This course is a foundation for cultivating insight, awareness, and empathy. It allows participants to develop the capacity to listen and speak from the heart and strengthen the ability to stay present in challenging situations. Integrating Mindfulness and NVC allows for the alignment of one's daily lives and actions with his or her values.
Day-Long and Weekend: TBA as they are scheduled based on interest. They provide longer periods of practice as well as deepen and extend participants' skill development. Please feel free to let me now if there is a particular focus you would like to see be offered. Some offerings include:
