Transpersonal means the crossing of body, mind, and spirit. In transpersonal hypnotherapy, there is an emphasis on the innate, internal resources within each individual, along with the assumption that all the answers we need our already inside of each us. Sometimes, all we need is the a safe container to access them.
Transpersonal Hypnotherapy concludes that we as human beings operate on all three levels: body, mind, and spirit, with each component being affected by the other. For example: if you exercise the body vigorously you feel better psychologically and stronger emotionally. The transpersonal approach works on four different levels:
Underlying issues--Review, understand and relieve childhood wounds around issue
A habit to change--Examining behavior to create desired results
Personal mastery--Activate physical, emotional and mental potential around desired shift
Spiritual potential--Expand perspectives and wisdom on releasing unconsious patterns
These energy healing modalities nicely supplement hypnotherapy and work to disrupt stuck energy patterns in the physical and mental bodies. Many of us suffer because we become stuck in habits of expressing our life energies in ways that no longer serve our best and highest good. These modalities utilize the energy lines or energy pathways outlined in the eastern healing traditions of acupuncture and yoga.
According to traditional eastern healing practices, within the physical body, the network of the energy body is to be found permeating every single part. It is particularly associated at this time with the nervous system, which is fed, nourished, controlled and galvanized by millions of tiny streams or lines of energy, to which the Eastern alternative medicine has given the name nadis. There are 72 000 nadis, which act as carriers of life energy. They are in fact the energy itself and carry the quality of energy from some area of consciousness where the person's attention in the body is focused.
The etheric body is the vehicle or the instrument of life energy. It gives vitality, health, life and organization to the physical body. Our energy body is composed of interlocking and circulating lines (nadis) of force emanating from the many levels of consciousness of our planetary life. These lines of energy and this closely interlocking system of streams of force are related to the seven energy centers (chakras) found within the etheric body. Each of these centers are related to certain types of incoming energy. The etheric body interpenetrates, underlies, and occupies the entire physical organism.
Energy healing modalities do not necessarily treat the physical symptoms of disease, like western medicine does, but locates the source of disease on the energy plane and works to restore proper movement and balance to a person’s life energy. Traditional healers have done this through the ages by working between the material and emotional world. Healers create a safe place to work through not just physical, but also the mental, and emotional planes. This includes releasing energy patterns caused by trauma, shock, thoughts, or words a client may be holding on to.
Energy healing can be used to treat illness and relieve pain; stop the onset of illness as soon as it begins, stimulate immune function, relieve headaches, release stress, improve memory, enhance digestion, relieve arthritis, neck, shoulder, and low back pain, and cope with electromagnetic pollution.
